Welcome to the Graduate School of Soongsil University!

Soongsil University (SSU), Korea’s first university founded in 1897, is based on the founding philosophy of ‘Truth and Service’. We have been making the history of advancing and spreading Christian values. Since its establishment in 1972, the Graduate School has been a driving force for the development of Soongsil University and keeps constantly striving to accomplish its vision, “fostering creative and competent talent” to lead the upcoming smart society through profound academic research.

Through the systematic operation of various degree programs, the Graduate School is dedicated to educating and fostering professional and creative students, who can lead a smart society in the 21st century. Currently, there are 43 departments, 16 interdisciplinary collaboration courses, and 3 contract-based departments at SSU. 1,334 students are currently studying at the School, and 1,0396 master’s and 2,978 doctorate graduates play an essential part of the alumni community of the Graduate School. After graduation, students’ career paths are diverse, and, most importantly, they are recognized as competent professionals in the public and private sector or various fields abroad, contributing to world peace and national development.

The Graduate School of Soongsil University has world-class faculty and state of the art educational and research facilities and has made outstanding achievements in various fields of study.
