Registration 등록

1. Each student who has been newly admitted must pay the enrollment fee including tuition fee and entrance fee by due date.

2. The presently enrolled students must pay the tuition and other fees by due date.

3. A student who has fulfilled all the requirements stated in the Clause 16 of the University Regulation(학칙) may be exempted for registration of one semester in the Master’s program, and two semesters in the combined Master’s and Doctoral program.

4. The regular enrollment period is as below:
– Master’s degree program: 4 semesters (2 years)
– Doctoral degree program: 4 semesters (2 years)
– Combined Master’s and Doctoral degree program: 8 semesters (4 years)

5. Other details should be inquired to the Graduate School office in advance.

Leave of Absence 휴학

1. A student who wishes to take a leave of absence must receive permission from the department head in advance and submit an application to the Graduate School office.

2. Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program students are not allowed to take the leave of absence in the first semester of the master’s degree course.

3. A student can take the leave of absence for up to two consecutive semesters for a time. However, in case the reason for the leave was military service, long-term overseas work, childbirth or child care, the condition above does not apply.

4. The maximum period of the leave of absence is as below:
– Master’s: four semesters (two years)
– Doctoral, Combined Master’s and Doctoral: six semesters (three years)
In case the reason for the leave was military service, long-term overseas work, childbirth or child card, the condition above does not apply.

5. In case a student takes the leave of absence before the half of the semester passes, the tuition fee for the returning semester will be exempted.

Returning from a Leave of Absence 복학

1. A student who wishes to return from his/her leave of absence must submit an application within the designated period (2 times a year, in February and August) and receive permission to return.

Readmission 재입학

1. The application for readmission is open 2 times a year (from late July to early August, from late January to early February). The applicant must receive permission from the department head and submit the application during the prescribed period above. The applicant may obtain permission for readmission if a vacancy for the readmission is available.

2. Each applicant can receive permission for readmission for up to two times only. A limited number of times also applies to the case in which the applicant voluntarily withdraw the permission for readmission.

3. Despite the above, the readmission may not be permitted for those who had been dismissed on disciplinary grounds.
